After the fall of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, many Communist partisans, led by Tito, began the fight against the Third Reich. The flag above was the flag of the many Multiethnic Partisan Detachments. They led the forces against the Germans and Italians in the movement.

Serbo-Croat Partisans

Many Serbs and Croatians fought alongside each other using this flag, and it was used as the early flag of the Yugoslav partisans as well.
